The social chemistry that catalyzes places

I spent the last couple of weeks reading Social Chemistry: Decoding the Patterns of Human Connection by Marissa King. It’s not only exciting but practical for enriching our relationships.

Growing up, I always heard, “showing up is the most important thing you can do.” However, approaching age 39, I am experiencing how much (or the last ack of) my showing up influences the health of my family, neighborhood, and the broader community.

Stop for a minute. Think about the place you live. What do you love about it? What do you wish were true about your neighborhood or community? Who comes to mind when you think about making your neighborhood, city, or city region better?

If you listed at least five people, you’ve already started to decode the solution to catalyzing place development. Reading Marrisa King’s book will transform how you approach personal relationships, work-life, and making the place you live, work, learn, and play better for all.
