Place Foundry provided placemaking services for CMM & Associates, a property owner, and developer in Rockford, IL. The primary mission of this project was to provide a vision and plan for the redevelopment of a property adjacent to downtown Rockford. Our team developed a set of scenarios for CMM & Associates, all centered around pedestrian walkability, a mix of residential and commercial uses, and sustainable design.

Our work with CMM & Associates consisted of two services: Place Analysis, Place Feasibility, and Place Blueprinting. Through Place Analysis, Place Foundry conducted thorough marketplace research to identify key consumer trends and demand influencing future retail attraction and development. Through Place Feasibility, our team performed the due diligence evaluations to ensure that existing infrastructural and policy conditions informed the final recommendations in our final Place Development Playbook.
